Tracy Coffey is a co-founder of Landmark OGM, LLC and has overall responsibility for company management, marketing and strategic direction. He has over 30 years’ experience in the energy industry. Tracy started Landmark while in the private practice of Oil, Gas & Energy Law at his Coffey Law Firm that specialized in title, environmental, and acquisition & divestiture due diligence matters. Tracy’s legal practice followed on a 25-year career with ExxonMobil and its subsidiaries. There he managed in-house and field land services operations that included complex due diligence for A&D, leasehold and mineral acquisition; title opinion generation; E&P contracts; right-of-way acquisition; and permitting. He also provided litigation support and served as the company’s shipping company representative in Alaska. As such, he resolved TransAlaska Pipeline System (TAPS) legal, regulatory and operational issues related to North Slope crude oil production, pipeline throughput and marine transportation. Tracy holds a B.S. from the University of Houston, J.D. from St. Mary’s University Law School, and LL.M. (Energy & Natural Resources Law) from University of Houston Law School. He is a U.S. Air Force combat-era veteran and an active member of AAPL, HAPL, BAPL, IRWA, IPAA, Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF), and the State Bar of Texas (including the Energy & Natural Resources Law Section).
